Old Trafford Turns to Prayer Ground as Pastor Jerry Eze Draws Thousands to Man United Stadium

Manchester United’s iconic Old Trafford stadium took on an unusual atmosphere on Saturday as thousands of worshippers gathered for a massive prayer conference led by Nigerian pastor Jerry Eze.

The 74,000-capacity stadium, famous worldwide as the home of Manchester United, hosted the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference, organised by Eze’s Streams of Joy International. Worshippers travelled from across the United Kingdom and beyond for the event, which featured prayers, worship and fellowship. (Soccernet.ng)

Interest in the free event was reportedly so high that available places were snapped up, with some prospective attendees taking to social media in search of spare tickets. (Punch Newspapers)

Popular Nigerian gospel ministers Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, Sunmisola Agbebi and Kaestrings were also among those featured at the gathering. (Punch Newspapers)

For a stadium accustomed to football chants and Premier League action, Saturday presented a strikingly different scene as thousands raised their voices in prayer and worship.

The gathering also highlighted the growing international reach of Eze’s New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) movement, which has built a large following through its online prayer programmes and international gatherings.
