Former Big Brother Naija housemate Cross Okonkwo has expressed frustration after a man who approached him for money allegedly damaged his vehicle in the Ikate area of Lekki, Lagos.
According to Cross, he was driving when the man came close to his car and repeatedly asked for money. After he declined to give him anything, the man allegedly pulled off part of the vehicle’s windscreen seal before fleeing the scene.
Cross reportedly stepped out of his car and pursued the suspect but was unable to catch him. He later filmed the damage to his vehicle while expressing concern over what he described as the growing presence of street thugs and aggressive beggars in Lagos.
The reality TV personality questioned the level of safety on the streets, saying the incident had left him worried about the security of motorists and residents.
Other young men in the area reportedly joined Cross in searching for the suspect, but the alleged culprit could not be located.
Cross has since shared footage of the damaged vehicle and the aftermath of the incident online..
