According to The Sun (Sun.co.uk), an unnamed neighbour claimed that the marriage between Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, also known as Mark, and his wife, Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, had broken down, with Zandile reportedly asking for a divorce. The publication, citing unnamed neighbours, suggested this may have been a factor in the tragedy. These claims have not been confirmed by Bedfordshire Police and remain unverified.
Police are investigating the deaths of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and the couple’s two daughters, Natalie (15) and Nala (5), who were found at the family’s reported £1.2 million home in Great Denham, Bedford, England. Detectives have named Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma (Mark), 45, as the main suspect. Police believe he left the UK via Heathrow Airport on Saturday, 4th July, and travelled to Zimbabwe shortly before the bodies were discovered.
Bedfordshire Police have launched an international manhunt and have appealed directly to Mark Tshuma to surrender to the authorities. Detective Inspector Lee Martin said the investigation “knows no borders” and confirmed that officers are working with national and international agencies to trace him.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion online. Marriages involving African families living in the UK and wider diaspora often attract public attention when they end in tragic circumstances. However, the facts and motives in this case remain under investigation, and authorities have not confirmed any motive.
