Popular Nigerian social media influencer and content creator, Very Dark Man (VDM), has publicly denied allegations linking him to
support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), following growing speculation online.

In a video shared on his YouTube channel on the night of April 19 2026, VDM addressed claims made by a social media user identified as “Danny of Owerri.” In the post, Danny alleged that VDM was working for the Federal Government as a content creator.

Responding to the allegation, VDM dismissed the claims as “emotional blackmail,” suggesting that the accusations were attempts to pressure him into supporting the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to him, his refusal to align with the ADC has led to widespread assumptions that he is instead backing the APC. He went on to say that he will not support APC, ADC, or any other political party.

 Background of the Controversy:

The allegations come in the wake of the detention of Blord, a situation reportedly initiated by VDM. The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with some individuals suggesting that VDM is collaborating with government authorities to oppress ordinary citizens.

However, VDM has strongly rejected these claims. He clarified that his involvement in the matter was strictly based on allegations of fraud and imposition, not an attempt to use government influence against anyone.

He emphasized that the case involving Blord is a legal issue and should not be interpreted as political alignment or partnership with any government entity.

 Ongoing Debate:

The situation has continued to generate discussions across social media platforms, with supporters and critics debating VDM’s role and intentions. While some users remain sceptical, others have called for caution, urging the public not to jump to conclusions without verified evidence. As the debate unfolds, VDM maintains that his actions are independent and not tied to any political agenda.
